About Me:
As a Triple Negative breast cancer survivor in remission since 2018, I bring both personal experience and passionate advocacy to my role as a communications officer for Run For A Cure. I’m Marie-Cecile Ngantcha, married with 3 kids. I was diagnosed with a triple negative breast cancer at the age of 47 years old in 2017. My breast cancer journey through chemotherapy, mastectomy surgery, radiation, reconstruction, and hormonal therapy was extremely challenging, but it strengthened my resolve to help other women facing this disease.
Having survived one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer, I joined Run For A Cure in 2018 because I understand firsthand the fear, uncertainty, and hope that accompanies a breast cancer diagnosis. My experience has taught me that cancer can indeed be cured when detected early, and I’m here to testify to that truth. Today, I channel my survival story into raising awareness across Cameroon and abroad, ensuring that women have access to early screening, patient guidance, and the moral support they need throughout their treatment journey.
Through my work with Run For A Cure since joining the organization, I’m committed to transforming my personal battle into a beacon of hope for others, proving that breast cancer is not a death sentence when we have the right support, early detection, and access to quality care.
